Slieve Commedagh Clinic in Newcastle has undertaken a significant fit out project, investing £400,000 to modernise its high street presence. The 15-month refurbishment included the addition of two new dental surgeries, upgraded facilities, and expanded staffing to meet patient demand.

Dr Philip Teggart, owner of the clinic since 2018, emphasised the strategic nature of the project: “Our vision was to continue that lasting legacy of patient care by providing a wraparound service that blends oral health with overall wellbeing.” The clinic has long been a fixture in the community, serving local residents for over 60 years.

Ulster Bank supported the expansion financially, reflecting confidence in the clinic’s growth trajectory. Paul Reid, Ulster Bank business development manager, attended the launch alongside Teggart and operations director Sharon Mark-Teggart, highlighting the project’s community and business impact.

The refurbishment focused on enhancing operational efficiency and patient experience. Upgraded surgeries incorporate modern dental equipment and ergonomically designed spaces to optimise workflow. Additional staff were recruited to ensure high service standards and accommodate increased patient throughput.

“This investment allows us to continue providing high-quality care while creating a welcoming environment for our patients,” Dr Teggart added. The project also underscores the clinic’s commitment to maintaining a strong presence in Newcastle’s commercial and high street landscape.
