Tarkett's AirMaster Carpet Tiles have been named winner of the Fit Out Product of the Year at the Fit Out Awards UK 2026, recognised for using flooring to improve indoor air quality, going beyond its traditional aesthetic role in commercial interiors.

AirMaster carpet tiles capture and retain fine dust up to eight times better than smooth flooring and four times better than standard carpet. For office fit out and workplace interiors, that gives the product clear practical benefits for health, wellbeing, and human performance.

The product's sustainability credentials add to the case. AirMaster holds GUI Gold Plus certification and Cradle to Cradle Gold EcoBase® backing, with an extremely low carbon footprint. Together, these support healthier, lower-impact interiors, a growing priority across the built environment and the wider fit out industry.

Judges valued the strong focus on product performance and innovation behind the submission, which shows how thoughtful product development can respond to both commercial and environmental needs.

The Fit Out Product of the Year category recognises an outstanding product introduced to the UK market in the past 12 months. Judges looked for products with big potential that deliver over and beyond similar products on the market, assessed across the product outline, the objectives behind its introduction, the benefits it offers in areas such as cost, time, or environmental impact, the case for special recognition, and supporting facts and client testimonials.

The Fit Out Awards UK 2026 ceremony took place on 24 September 2026 at the Park Plaza London Riverbank.
