Malaysian engineering and construction group iCents Group Holdings has secured a RM12.9 million (€2.6 million) renovation contract through its wholly-owned subsidiary VS Engineering Sdn Bhd, covering fit-out and building works for a factory, warehouse and ground floor office in Klang Valley on behalf of a Malaysian subsidiary of a Netherlands-based technology company.

The Star reports that the client specialises in products and technology solutions for the semiconductor, medical and life sciences, and infrastructure and energy industries, according to a filing submitted to Bursa Malaysia.

The scope of works encompasses the supply, delivery and installation of building works, internal finishes, mechanical and electrical systems, Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, plumbing and sanitary installations, firefighting systems and testing and commissioning works. The project is scheduled for completion four months from the date of commencement, which is to be confirmed by the project consultant.

The contract adds to VS Engineering's growing track record in high-specification industrial fit-out and renovation works for technology-sector clients in Malaysia. The four-month delivery programme reflects the time-sensitive nature of fit-out projects serving semiconductor and life sciences operators, where facility readiness directly affects production timelines and commercial output for the end client.

iCents said it remains optimistic about the outlook for advanced manufacturing and high-specification industrial facilities, underpinned by increasing capital flows into semiconductors, life sciences and digital infrastructure across the region.
