Crown Creative delivers complete fit out for Birch Cabins

Crown Creative, a Belfast-based design studio, has delivered a comprehensive interior and brand fit out for Birch Cabins, a luxury glamping operator located on the 200-acre Florida Manor Estate in County Down, Northern Ireland.

The project spans interiors, lighting, and brand identity, reflecting a fully integrated approach to fit out in hospitality environments.

From the initial concept to the final lighting details, Crown Creative maintained creative control, ensuring a consistent experience across all touchpoints. “Every element has emerged from shared strategic thinking about what the place should mean and how it should feel,” the studio highlighted, emphasising the cohesion between brand, interior, and digital platforms.

The cabins’ interior architecture was designed to harmonise with the surrounding landscape. Oak cladding unifies kitchen, wardrobe, and dining areas, while sliding doors conceal bathrooms with walk-in showers and skylights. Expansive glazing ensures uninterrupted views of the forest, and every timber joint is aligned to maintain visual continuity. “It’s a single design idea expressed through multiple media,” the team noted.

The fit out extends into the digital space, with the website reflecting the same design principles through earthy tones, generous white space, and tactile imagery. Marketing materials, social media, and printed assets mirror the cabins’ understated luxury, ensuring a seamless experience for guests.

Local collaborations were incorporated into the fit out, including woven artworks by Emily McIlwaine, throws from Mourne Textiles, ceramics by Annandale Brick Works, and framed pieces from Canvas Galleries. These elements support local craft industries while enhancing the aesthetic of the cabins.
