Belfast International Airport reopens Northern Quarter following months of refurbishment work

Northern Ireland-based Belfast International Airport has reopened its Northern Quarter following months of refurbishment work, delivering a new restaurant and bar alongside enhanced food and beverage facilities, Belfast Live reported.

The Northern Quarter closed its doors in January, with a temporary bar set up to serve the area whilst fit-out works progressed. The refurbishment has delivered a significantly upgraded space featuring a new menu offering traditional breakfast items, burgers, sharing plates and light bites.

The fit-out includes a fully serviced bar where customers can order pints on draught, wine and spirits, alongside non-alcoholic alternatives including 0.0 per cent Guinness and Heineken. The upgraded Northern Quarter also features a new Bewleys coffee area, providing passengers with expanded beverage options within the terminal.

The Northern Quarter refurbishment forms part of wider improvement works taking place across Belfast International Airport. The project aims to enhance passenger experience through upgraded hospitality facilities and improved food and beverage offerings throughout the terminal building.

The reopened space provides passengers with access to an expanded range of dining and refreshment options prior to departure. The fit-out balances traditional hospitality elements with contemporary design standards, creating an environment designed to accommodate high passenger volumes whilst maintaining service quality.

Belfast International Airport continues to invest in terminal infrastructure improvements as part of its ongoing development programme. The Northern Quarter refurbishment represents the latest phase in the airport's strategy to modernise passenger-facing facilities and enhance overall terminal experience.

The upgraded restaurant and bar operates alongside existing airport hospitality venues, expanding total food and beverage capacity within the departure area.
