Unitary Engineering Services completes first international office fit-out project for First Bus in Ireland

England-based Unitary Engineering Services has completed its first international project, delivering an office fit-out for First Bus in Ireland following the company's acquisition of Matthews Coaches as part of its expansion of operations in the country, Bristol 24/7 reported.

UES was appointed to transform an existing building shell into a modern workspace after the site outgrew its temporary portacabin setup. The fit-out included a communal kitchen, accessible facilities, and glazed offices and meeting rooms, creating a functional environment to support day-to-day operations.

The milestone project marks UES's first delivery outside the UK, signalling the company's growing reach beyond its regional base.

Adam Griffiths, managing director, said the project represents an exciting step forward and opens up new opportunities for expansion. "This project marks an exciting step forward for UES," Griffiths said. "Delivering our first international project shows how far the business has come and the direction we're heading in. It's another step in our growth and opens the door to new opportunities as we continue to expand our reach and capabilities."

Janson MacIver, project manager, recognised the effort behind the delivery, thanking the teams involved in transforming the space from an empty shell into a fully operational workplace. "Projects like this rely on a huge team effort," MacIver said. "Everyone involved played their part in bringing the space together, and it's great to see the finished result now supporting the client's operations."

UES has an established relationship with First Bus, having previously worked on projects including the electrification of its Taunton depot, with the latest delivery reinforcing ongoing collaboration between the two organisations.

With its first international project now complete, the Bristol-based firm is looking to build on this momentum as it expands its services and geographic footprint.
