Ireland West Airport unveils refurbished Nephin Lounge with modernised passenger facilities

Ireland West Airport has unveiled a newly refurbished Nephin Lounge, marking a further development in the regional airport's ongoing programme to enhance passenger facilities and improve the overall travel experience ahead of departure.

Flying in Ireland reports that the upgraded lounge has been redesigned as a quiet, stress-free environment for travellers seeking comfort or a dedicated workspace within the departures area, with the refurbishment delivering a noticeably more refined interior aligned with contemporary expectations for regional airport hospitality.

The Nephin Lounge continues to offer complimentary refreshments, free Wi-Fi, workstations and charging points, newspapers and magazines, live flight information and television, catering for both leisure and business travellers passing through the airport.

The lounge opens daily two hours before the first scheduled flight departure, with passengers permitted to use the facility for up to three hours ahead of their flight. Walk-in adult entry is priced at €25, with a discounted rate of €22 available for passengers who pre-book online. Entry for children under 12 is €13, and infants under two years of age are admitted free of charge.

The refurbishment positions the Nephin Lounge as a more competitive offering within the regional airport sector, where passenger experience improvements at the lounge and terminal level have become an increasingly important differentiator for airports competing to attract and retain both scheduled and charter routes.
