International Workplace Group opens Regus workspace in Omagh as Northern Ireland hybrid working demand accelerates

International Workplace Group (IWG), the Switzerland-headquartered owner of the Regus and Spaces brands and the world's largest flexible workspace platform, is opening a state-of-the-art fit-out at 8 High Street in Omagh, Northern Ireland, converting a former First Trust Bank building into a fully equipped commercial workspace.

The Newsletter reported that the Omagh opening forms part of IWG's sustained push across Northern Ireland, where demand for flexible and hybrid working environments continues to rise sharply. The fit-out will deliver private offices, meeting rooms and co-working spaces under a management agreement with building owner Gardrum Holdings Limited.

Mark Dixon, CEO and founder of International Workplace Group PLC, said: "We are establishing a stronger and much-needed footprint in Northern Ireland with this latest opening. As an important business hub Omagh is a fantastic place for us to boost our expansion plans."

Dixon added that IWG is very pleased to work in partnership with Gardrum Holdings Limited to develop the Regus brand under a management agreement that will add a cutting-edge workspace to their building.

The Omagh opening follows IWG's record-breaking 2025 financial performance, during which the group signed 1,132 new locations — more than in the entire first two decades of its operations — with 99% structured as partnership agreements. IWG's network now comprises more than one million rooms across 121 countries.

Research by IWG and workplace consultancy Arup found that hybrid working can boost productivity by 11%. Industry analysts project that 30% of all commercial real estate will be flexible workspace by 2030, representing a total addressable market exceeding £1.57 trillion globally.
