Huntoffice.ie reports surging demand for office privacy pods as hybrid working reshapes workplace design

Ireland-based office supplies and fit-out specialist Huntoffice.ie has seen rising demand for privacy pods that provide employees with quiet, distraction-free spaces for focused work and calls as employers rethink workplace design to encourage staff back into the office under hybrid and flexible working models, Business Plus reported.

The Limerick-based company has experienced increased demand for Kabin, Framery and Sonus privacy pods since the start of the year, as companies seek flexible, easy-to-install solutions to support employee wellbeing in busy office settings. Demand for both open-fronted and fully enclosed privacy pods has peaked.

Seamus Hunt, co-founder and managing director of Huntoffice.ie and Hunt Office Interiors, said many employees returning to the office need a quiet space from time to time. "Open-plan offices can feel increasingly noisy on busy days, particularly for people who've become accustomed to working from home," Hunt said. "Privacy pods offer a cost-effective, non-permanent solution where staff can focus, think clearly or make important calls without disruption."

Alanna Gallagher, editor of online property and interiors site homeandstyle.ie, said workers need a quiet corner to have private conversations. "With the rise of open plan offices and the fall in numbers talking on phones, that white noise of multiple people talking at the same time, that used to create an aural privacy screen, is gone," Gallagher said.
