Dunelm finishes full fit out and rebrand of Irish store network

Dunelm, a UK-based home furnishings retailer, has finished the full fit out and rebranding of all 13 former Home Focus at Hickeys stores across Ireland. The stores, located in Carrickmines, Santry, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Tallaght, Blanchardstown, Northside, Kilkenny, Wexford, Tralee, Waterford, and Dun Laoghaire, now operate under the Dunelm brand.

Six of the stores underwent comprehensive refits to align with Dunelm’s UK store format, incorporating updated layouts, modern fixtures, and improved customer flow. The refits were part of a broader strategy to deliver a consistent brand experience and enhanced in-store environment for Irish customers.

In addition to the physical transformation, Dunelm expanded its Irish product offering to include cushions, bedding, bathroom accessories, rugs, and made-to-measure window treatments, aiming to provide a more complete home furnishing solution. The refit work involved specialist fit out teams to ensure adherence to the Dunelm brand standards while accommodating local market needs.

Ben Osborn, General Manager for Dunelm Ireland, confirmed that the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to offering greater choice, quality, and value to Irish shoppers. Staff across the network have been trained to support the new layouts and product ranges, ensuring a seamless transition for customers.

The project also supports Dunelm’s operational objectives by standardising store formats, improving inventory management, and enhancing overall customer experience across Ireland.
