Northern Ireland-based Duality Healthcare has completed a £500,000 fit-out of a 3,000 square feet private GP clinic at the former Deloitte office on Bedford Street, Belfast, creating 10 new jobs including GPs, nurses and admin staff, the News Letter reported.
The fit-out represents a significant investment by Duality Healthcare and is the latest in a number of clinics across Northern Ireland. A further two clinics are expected to open in other parts of Northern Ireland this year bringing its total number of clinics to seven.
The clinic has been created and fitted out to the highest standards with support from suppliers including ROC Contracts Limited, McConnell Property Limited, Herron Contractors Limited, SignDsign and TSA Planning.
John McEvoy, chief executive of Duality Healthcare, said opening the Belfast city centre location is a key milestone in Duality's growth. "Being right in the heart of the city puts Duality exactly where we need to be, embedded in a busy neighbourhood, easy to reach with fantastic transport connections, affordable, with appointments designed around the pace of city life allowing us to stay close to the people we serve," McEvoy said.
The company currently employs over 60 people with clinics in Newry, Ballymena, Omagh and Londonderry in addition to the Belfast operation.
Duality Healthcare recently announced an innovative partnership with Gordon's Chemists aimed at bringing enhanced virtual and face-to-face GP services to Gordons locations across Northern Ireland.
