Canadia completes €300,000 expansion of Tallaght facility as flooring specialist targets Irish fit-out market

Ireland-based Canadia, a wood flooring supplier, has completed a €300,000 expansion of its Tallaght showroom and warehouse, increasing its footprint to 55,000 square feet and signalling continued confidence in Ireland's residential and commercial fit-out market, Irish Real Estate reported.

The investment coincides with the company's 30-year anniversary and is supported by five new hires, bringing total employment to 44, alongside a broadened product offering and a new national retailer training programme.

Located in Cookstown Industrial Estate, the upgraded facility includes an additional 13,400 square feet of space and enhanced showroom capabilities aimed at both trade and consumer audiences. The facility incorporates dedicated consultation areas for architects and interior designers, reflecting a continued focus on specification-led sales within residential and commercial development.

Charlie Hamilton, managing director, stated the investment reflects long-term confidence in the Irish market and a strategy centred on product innovation, retailer support and customer experience. The expansion reflects sustained demand in interior finishes and refurbishment activity, particularly across housing delivery, retrofit projects and commercial repositioning schemes.

The inclusion of a specialist lighting demonstration area aligns with increased emphasis on end-user experience and product visualisation at point of selection. Canadia distributes its products through a network of 500 retail partners nationwide. The introduction of a structured training programme for these partners is designed to strengthen product knowledge and improve sales conversion.

The company has expanded its product range, now offering over 300 décor options. New additions include 20 laminate flooring products with enhanced durability and water resistance ratings, alongside new stair renovation systems and acoustic wall panel solutions targeted at both residential and commercial applications.
