Aldi Ireland completes over €1 million Project Fresh fit-out of Tallaght Cross store

Ireland-based Aldi has completed an over €1 million Project Fresh fit-out of its Tallaght Cross store, delivering a complete interior refurbishment with new layout and enhanced fixtures throughout, Checkout reported.

The fit-out project has transformed the store with a customer-focused design that positions fresh food at the entrance and incorporates hi-spec fixtures and fittings across the retail space. The renovation aligns with Aldi's award-winning Project Fresh design.

Jonathan Graham, store manager at Aldi Tallaght Cross, said the Project Fresh revamp delivers significant benefits for local shoppers. "The Project Fresh revamp of our store is fantastic news for our local customers," Graham said. "The new spacious design makes for a very enjoyable shop, allowing customers to shop with ease."

Graham highlighted the introduction of a new in-store bakery as a key feature of the fit-out. "We are also thrilled with the addition of a brand-new bakery," Graham said.

"In this current environment, it is more important than ever that customers can always avail of great value products at unbeatable prices here in Aldi."

The fit-out introduced several new units including a fresh herb stand, a dedicated bread and cake fixture, and a health and beauty feature. The in-store bakery offers a full range of Irish-baked breads and pastries delivered daily.

Sustainability considerations formed a central element of the store's fit-out design. The renovated store received a CO2 upgrade, delivering more environmentally friendly refrigeration systems.

Aldi's entire store network operates on 100 per cent wind-generated energy, and the retailer has achieved ISO 50001 accreditation in recognition of its energy efficiency efforts.

The Tallaght Cross location participates in Aldi's national partnership with FoodCloud, donating surplus food to local charities daily.
