With a career spanning 27 years, across the fields of Design Engineering, Project Management and Interior Architecture, Lawrence McFarlane founded the creative design consultancy S-L-M-D Ltd in 2009. Whilst undertaking projects across the retail, hospitality and exhibition sectors, S-L-M-D is most notably involved in the design and delivery of commercial office projects. 

In 2021 following the completion of a Masters thesis covering the subjects of sustainability, well-building standards and salutogenic design theory, Lawrence is now directing his focus towards the delivery of sustainable, human-centric, fully inclusive interior environments across multiple sectors.
