Sue Corcoran

Sue Corcoran is Programme Leader on the BA (Hons) in Interior Design at Limerick Institute of Technology, soon to be The Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest. Sue’s academic background consists of fine art, painting, interior architecture, urban design, and art and design education. This diversity in cross disciplines has previously led Sue to a wide and varied portfolio of projects, both at home and abroad. Sue’s background in interior architecture, and fine art gives her a strong understanding of aesthetics and materials, along with a sharp eye for colour and detail.

Sue has been involved in programme design and curriculum development in both the Built Environment Department and Limerick School of Art & Design since joining LIT in 2014. Her current role in education allows many aspects of her career to date to come together, enabling her to continue to be involved in interior projects associated with the BA (Hons) in Interior Design at LIT, on which she currently lectures on. Since being involved full time in education, Sue gives her time pro bono to charities, and community organisations, helping them improve their spaces for their users, something which she is passionate about.
