Sue Corcoran

Sue Corcoran is programme leader on the new BA (Hons) in Interior Design at the Limerick Institute of Technology. 

Sue has been involved in design education for almost 10 years and holds a Masters in Art & Design Education. 

Sue has spent the last two years on curriculum development for the new Level 8 programme which started in September 2019. 

After graduating in Interior Architecture from Cardiff Metropolitan University, Sue took a post with Aer Rianta International. Here she worked on a number of Duty Free retail fit out projects, including Bahrain in the Middle East, and St. Petersburg, and Moscow in Russia. 

Sue also holds a postgraduate Diploma from the University of Westminster in Urban Design and ran the Irish design office of Nicholas de Jong Associates, award winning Urban Designers for five years. Projects included Tralee Town Centre and the Street Remodelling project in Limerick. Since being involved full time in education 

Sue gives her time pro bono to charities and community organisations, helping them to improve spaces for their users. More recently Sue was senior designer for the pioneering non-clinical dementia village, CareBright Community in Bruff, County Limerick.
