Alan Crawford is the founding partner of Crawford Partnership, which was established in 1997 as a design led architecture and interior design practice, with offices in London and Lima, Peru. Prior to setting up Crawford Partnership, Alan was a partner in a London based practice, and spent 7 years working in the Middle East on many challenging projects.

Over the years Crawford Partnership has established a growing reputation for innovative design solutions and in 2007, were included in the *WALLPAPER Design Magazine Architects Directory as “One of 101 of the world’s most exciting new architects”.

Today, Crawford Partnership continues to be busy on projects addressing many 21st century design challenges, enjoying a diverse workload from low-cost multiple housing schemes, bespoke ‘one off’ new build contemporary homes, to sensitive refurbishment and renovation of Listed properties.

In 2017, Alan travelled to Peru to receive an Honorary Professorship from University Ricardo Palma, and in the same year was elected Chair of RIBA North London Architects.

Alan continues to be involved in judging on many design awards, and in 2022 has been a judge on The Designer KB Awards, The Building & Architect of the Year Awards, and The RIBA London Student Awards.

Alan is honoured to be invited again in 2022 onto the judging panel for The Fit Out Awards.
